%27OnHi, I'm Martin Hickman and I live in Abergavenny with my wife, Alison.

We relocated here from London, where I was a trader in the financial markets, for 30 years.

In 2004 I became a Town Councillor For Castle Ward on Abergavenny Town Council,
and enjoyed a wonderful year as The Mayor of Abergavenny for 2007/08. In 2012 I was elected onto Monmouthshire County Council to represent Llanfoist.

I am a trustee and treasurer with both the Homemakers Recycling Group and MIND Monmouthshire, and a governor at Deri View Primary School. I have also been a local Magistrate, serving the Gwent area, since 2006.

Always being interested in music, I ran a mobile disco back in the late 70's and early 80's. I now own three juke boxes which play all my old vinyl 45s! so I still get plenty of use out of my vast collection.
During 2010 I became the Station Manager at NHSound, as well as continuing as their Treasurer.

I present the 'Saturday Sixties Show' featuring the 'sounds of the sixties', which also gives information of what's happening in and around Abergavenny, as well as a bit of local news. I always play a couple of number ones from the exact day of the decade.
It's broadcast each Saturday between 10 a.m. and midday.

I hope you can join me whenever possible, and if you would like to contact me with your favourite songs of the decade, I'll gladly play them, together with a mention for you or a loved one.

Call me direct in the studio on 01873 858633
or Text me on 07956 240594 for requests & dedications.
